St Agnes is perhaps the island that has the least knowledge about bat populations on Scilly. There aren't so many bat enthusiasts as on the other islands, so on Tuesday May 26th a number of people will go over to Agnes to spread out across the islands and monitor what bats are present.
A boat will be leaving St Mary's quay at 8.30 and returning from St Agnes at 10.45. There's no charge for the event, but bring a torch and suitable clothing; if it's wet or very windy then the walk will be cancelled. There will be a number of bat detectors amongst the group, but if you have one please bring it.
This is open to everyone...don't worry if you don't know anything about bats - you soon will! We're always pleased to welcome new people on to our regular bat walks.
